The place that she had in the palm of her hands,
That place that emptied and fell amidst her fingers,
Onto her knuckles and unto her veins.
That place that she had in the palm of her hands that held his face,
Ended up in her heart.
A bounty hunter,

He dug through the dirt
And became famous before the flirt.
An Archebiologist,
he had found the missing link,
that put to rest the doubt about evolution
in a blink.
The world saw in him their hero,
He brought down God,
but little did he know;
he was turning her into Patient Zero
That night,
he gave to her all that he had
No one knew;
how rad would turn to bad
It started with redness on her skin,
she didn't give it much thought
as she scratched herself through the muslin
A handful of hours later,
her body's defences were compromised,
the fungus was the new king,
ready to strike the world, it was poised.

threatening the hearts of women

It had laid dormant all this while
Now its time had come.
It would wreak havoc on humans
turning all flesh to bile.
Killing only those who had a double X
it spared the ones with the Y,
The men were left
to kiss their women good bye
And as the age of men came to an end
the hero fell to his knees at her grave
Wondering "who was the villain
God or he? "
